About the Council
An independent, internationally oriented quality assurance organization dedicated to advancing academic excellence, institutional integrity, and responsible governance in Christian and private higher education.
An independent body for quality and integrity in higher education
The Accreditation & Compliance Council for Christian and Private Higher Education (ACCPHE) is an independent, internationally oriented quality assurance organization dedicated to advancing academic excellence, institutional integrity, and responsible governance in Christian and private higher education.
Through institutional standards, structured evaluation, professional guidance, and continuous improvement frameworks, ACCPHE seeks to strengthen educational institutions and support their capacity to deliver academically sound, ethically grounded, and professionally relevant education.
Recognizing the diversity of Christian higher education systems worldwide, ACCPHE encourages standards-based institutional improvement while respecting legitimate differences in educational mission, cultural context, and national regulatory requirements.
Credible higher education must combine academic quality with institutional accountability and a sustained commitment to the development of competent, principled, and responsible graduates.
Background and development
ACCPHE’s institutional concept responds to the need for a quality assurance framework that recognizes the distinctive missions of Christian and private higher education institutions while maintaining a strong commitment to academic credibility, ethical governance, and professional relevance.
The Council’s development framework brings together institutional accreditation, membership, professional guidance, standards development, and international academic engagement.
Our Vision
To become a respected international reference point for academic quality, institutional integrity, ethical leadership, and continuous improvement in Christian and private higher education.
Our Mission
To accredit and recognize eligible Christian and private higher education institutions through rigorous, transparent, and evidence-based quality assurance processes that promote transformative education and cultivate graduates equipped for leadership, professional influence, and ethical responsibility.
Our Purpose
To strengthen the quality, credibility, accountability, and societal contribution of Christian and private higher education institutions through institutional evaluation, professional guidance, standards development, and continuous improvement.
Principles that shape every evaluation
Academic Integrity
We uphold intellectual honesty, rigorous scholarship, responsible assessment, and truthful representation of academic qualifications and institutional achievements.
Institutional Accountability
We encourage clear governance structures, reliable records, fulfilled responsibilities, and measurable educational outcomes.
Independence and Impartiality
Accreditation decisions should rest on documented evidence, approved standards, and independent professional judgment, free from improper influence or conflicts of interest.
Ethical Leadership
We promote leadership characterized by honesty, stewardship, responsibility, fairness, and respect for the individuals and communities served.
Faith and Values
We respect the distinctive missions of Christian institutions and encourage the responsible integration of faith and learning, while requiring ethical conduct across all participating institutions.
Continuous Improvement
Quality assurance is an ongoing responsibility rather than a single evaluation event. Institutions should regularly assess their effectiveness and respond constructively.
Global Engagement
We encourage professional cooperation across national and regional boundaries while respecting applicable laws, regulatory systems, and institutional diversity.

Any accreditation awarded by ACCPHE must be supported by a formal decision and must not be described as equivalent to governmental authorization or recognition by another accrediting or regulatory body unless such equivalence has been independently established.
